EU Space Programme
Empowering Europe through innovation, data, and space technology.
Challenge
The European Commission decided to restructure its defence and space activities. The client’s ask was to rethink the entire organisation of the new space platform. Alongside that, they needed a bold new visual identity to set their initiatives apart from other European and global players in the space arena.
Action
The big challenge? Defining services clearly and understanding user needs across earth observation, satellite navigation, and more. To get it right, we ran hands-on workshops to capture requirements and carve out a unique position for the new EU Space Programme platform. The insights shaped the information architecture, tested with card sorting, while the bold new visual identity was crafted alongside wireframes and prototyped for real user feedback.

Results
This all-in-one platform brings EU space missions down to Earth—clearly informing citizens while guiding entrepreneurs and scientists to the right services. With bold branding and a smart structure, it fits seamlessly into the EU’s digital ecosystem. It showcases six key Space Programme components and offers open data to tackle climate change, boost agri-tech, spark innovation, and strengthen the EU single market.
